FortHill was successfully established in October 2019 with a private fundraise to wholesale investors. There was an excellent response from a wide range of investors, with our initial equity raise establishing a fund of over $170m.
FortHill has settled its first nine industrial properties, with the final two expected to settle in 2020 on completion of their development. This will take FortHill to a diversified portfolio of 11 prime industrial properties.
FortHill Property is excited to offer something special in New Zealand’s property market: access to prime industrial and commercial properties, with long-term tenancies providing stable returns and growth.
All of FortHill’s initial acquisitions were Calder Stewart buildings and we look forward to working with Calder Stewart to grow the pipeline of high-quality investments going forward.
We appreciate the time and effort put into due diligence by our investors and prospective investors – including those who may invest in the future. We know that it takes time, effort, a level of comfort, and the right timing for you to make an investment decision.
We look forward to working with you going forward in our next fundraise and will continue to communicate with you about future investment opportunities.
If you didn't participate in our initial raise, we hope that the timing of our future fundraising will suit your circumstances.
FortHill is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan-Paul Mowat as a second Independent Director to the FortHill Board (our fourth director). Our intention has always been to have a board of five, and we are pleased to be delivering on that plan. Jan-Paul brings deep experience in fund management, strategy, and value creation. The FortHill Board is pleased to have him as part of the team.
Looking ahead to 2020, FortHill will focus on delivering its strategy of growing long-term shareholder value. One main strategic aim is providing further geographic diversification.
Good things take time, but when we find the right opportunities we expect to act quickly.
We have several opportunities already in the pipeline and expect these will start to flow through in early 2020, subject to signoff by the FortHill Board. We will be in touch when we have further information.
If you have friends or colleagues who may be interested in FortHill’s future fundraising, please have them contact us at our website (www.forthill.co.nz) or by phone to be added to our database.
Please feel free to email or ring us if you have any questions.
