FortHill has been working on several new acquisitions and is pleased to announce the first two: My Food Bag (Hornby Quadrant, Christchurch), and Placemakers (Carisbrook, Dunedin). These acquisitions bring the portfolio to 17 high-quality assets with a value of approximately $350m.
We are pleased to announce the acquisition of a new development at 10 Sir James Wattie Drive, Hornby. The property will comprise a high-stud warehouse, office, and canopy totalling 3,460m².
The property will be tenanted by My Food Bag on a 10-year lease with construction expected to be complete in early 2022. The site is the sought-after industrial area of Hornby Quadrant, Christchurch and has excellent motorway access.
My Food Bag are an NZX-listed meal delivery service specialising in the high-growth area of online grocery and food service delivery. My Food Bag are one of the largest food retailers in the country behind the main supermarket chains.
FortHill is also pleased to announce the acquisition of a new build for PlaceMakers at 50 Burns Street, Dunedin comprising a drive-through warehouse, office, showroom and canopy.
PlaceMakers will occupy the property on a 10-year lease with completion and settlement expected in March 2022.
In addition to being a high-quality asset, this property continues to deliver on FortHill's geographic and tenant diversification by growing our presence in Dunedin.
